Mi Raye filed suit yesterday in Circuit Court against Harry Barton, Coral Gables contractor, claiming permanent injuries she said were caused when Barton smashed a whisky bottle on her head.

She said she will never recover from the effects and that Barton also "used vile and profane language and maliciously assaulted her" and claims the incident caused her. to have "blurring eyesight, fainting spells and insomnia." The suit was filed In the entertainer's married name, Martha Begley. Her husband, Kd Begley, was at the party but was not involved, according to reports. Miss ltaye was celebrating her birthday at the time and reports said the argument started when a party of which Barton was a member had a misunderstanding with members of Jhe Kaye party about a calypso band. Participants in the brawl, which took place in the Compleat Angler' bar on Biinini Island, weren't talking for publication, but Miami newspapers quoted an unidentified spectator as saying it was "quite a party." Harton was arrested and fined $70 on two counts of assault and battery and resisting arrest.

Mimbers of the calypso band suffered burns from the acid contents of a fire extinguisher and various other persons came nut of the fray with cuts and bruises.
